C6 : Design Thinking and Innovation

Aim:
To create a visual plan for an invention that solves a real-life problem.

Materials Required:

  • A4 sheet

  • Pencil

  • Ruler

  • Crayons or color pencils

  • The problem you want to solve (from Lesson 1 or 2)

Steps:

  1. Think of a problem you identified earlier.

  2. Imagine a product or device that could solve it.

  3. Draw the design in the center of the page.

  4. Label the parts of your invention (e.g., button, screen, wires).

  5. Write a small sentence below the sketch like:
“This device helps you clean your desk faster.”

  6. Color your invention if time allows.

Working of the Activity:

Drawing your invention helps you explain your idea to others clearly.
It also helps you see if anything is missing or needs fixing before building it.
