C6 : Design Thinking and Innovation

Aim:
To create a basic version of your invention and improve it after testing.

Materials Required:

  • Paper, cardboard

  • Scissors

  • Tape or glue

  • Old boxes, bottle caps, or recycled items (optional)

  • Your design sketch from Lesson 4

Steps:

  1. Look at your drawing from Lesson 4.

  2. Choose paper or cardboard to build your idea.

  3. Cut, fold, and stick pieces together to make a basic model.

  4. Try to show how it works or explain it to a friend.

  5. Think: What can you improve? What is not working well?

  6. Make small changes and test again.

  7. Share your improved model with the class.

Working of the Activity:

This activity helps you bring your idea to life in 3D.
You also learn that it’s okay to fix mistakes — that’s how real inventors work!
