C6: Electrical Connection

Q1. Explain why insulation is necessary in electrical wiring with an example.

Answer:
Insulation prevents the flow of current outside the wire. Without insulation, touching the wire could cause shocks or allow wires to touch each other, leading to a short circuit. For example, household wires are covered with plastic insulation to make them safe to handle and to avoid accidents.
