Even if we join wires correctly, we cannot be sure the circuit works unless we test it. Electricians and engineers always check circuits before use to avoid shocks or damage.
The multimeter is the most common tool used for this purpose. It can measure:
- Voltage (the “push” of electricity).
- Continuity (whether the circuit path is complete).
- Resistance, current, and more (advanced uses).
