Aim:
To use the SCAMPER method to generate and draw a creative solution to a real problem.
Requirements:
- A4 paper
- Pencil, colors, ruler
- SCAMPER worksheet (optional)
Steps:
- Choose the problem you explored in Lesson 2.
- Use SCAMPER to explore new ideas.
- S (Substitute): Can you replace any part with something better?
- C (Combine): Can you join it with something else?
- A (Adapt): Can it be used in a different setting?
- M (Modify): Can you make it bigger, smaller, or stronger?
- P (Put to another use): Can it do something else too?
- E (Eliminate): Can you remove something unnecessary?
- R (Reverse): Can you change the order or direction?
- Pick your favorite idea from the SCAMPER brainstorm.
- Sketch it on your paper.
- Label the parts
- Write a short description: “This idea helps by…”
