C7: Design Thinking and Innovation

Aim:
To observe your environment and identify three real-life problems that people face.

 

Requirements:

  • Notebook or worksheet

  • Pen or pencil

  • Access to areas like classroom, corridors, playground, or home

Steps:

  1. Go on a short observation walk around your school or home.

  2. Watch how people use spaces, furniture, tools, or devices.

  3. Look for things that seem inconvenient, broken, confusing, or frustrating.

  4. Write down at least three problems you notice.
    Examples:

    • Overflowing dustbin in the corridor

    • Tap that leaks and wastes water

    • Chair that makes students uncomfortable during class

  5. Choose one problem that you feel is the most important or interesting.

Working of the Activity:

This activity helps you start thinking like a real-world problem solver.
It trains your brain to notice things that matter to people’s comfort, safety, and happiness.
