C8: Blinker Circuit + PCB Soldering

Aim:
To safely practice soldering by making neat joints on a practice PCB.

Requirements:

  • Safety gloves

  • Soldering iron

  • Solder wire

  • Blank PCB or soldering practice board

  • Wire piece or resistor leg for practice

Steps:

  1. Wear safety gear: Gloves and goggles if available.

  2. Listen to safety instructions: Never touch the hot metal tip. Always keep your workspace clean.

  3. Hold the soldering iron like a pen – firm but relaxed.

  4. Heat the joint area, then apply solder to the connection point – not directly to the iron.

Repeat 5 times to get consistent, shiny solder joints.
