C8: Design Thinking and Innovation

Aim:
To explore a real person’s experience with a task and discover exactly where the problems happen.

Requirements:

  • User journey worksheet or notebook

  • Pen or pencil

  • Chart paper (optional)

Steps:

  1. Choose one routine task your interview person does often (from Lesson 2)—e.g., sweeping the floor, watering plants, or managing books in the library.

  2. Write down each step of that task in order.

  3. Carefully observe or imagine where the person:

    • Struggles

    • Takes extra time

    • Feels discomfort or frustration

  4. Mark those steps as pain points.

  5. Highlight them for future problem-solving.

Working of the Activity
