C9: Design Thinking & Industrial Design

Aim:
To create a simple, helpful product for someone in need using empathy and creativity.

Requirements:

  • Research material or internet access (for background knowledge)

  • Sketchpad and pens

  • Craft supplies (optional: cardboard, tape, glue, markers)

Steps:

  1. Choose a user group: elderly people, farmers, or students.

  2. Identify one real-life problem they face (e.g., heavy bags, water shortage, low lighting).

  3. Sketch or build a basic model of a product that can help them.

  4. Describe how your design works and how it will make a difference.
